Dr. Nicole Persing-Wethington is an Educator with the Michigan State University Extension Health and Nutrition Institute, leading research and evidence-based programming.  Nicole began her MSU Extension experience as a young 4-Her and went on to become a volunteer.  She worked in the Children and Youth Institute before moving into the Health and Nutrition Institute.  Nicole is passionate about the science of teaching and learning, mindful technology integration, and improving well-being.  She supports Michigan State University Extension's fall prevention, mindfulness, and RELAX programs as lead/co-lead.  Nicole is a Co-P.I. of a grant from the USDA NIFA Rural Health and Safety Education program to prevent opioid misuse in rural communities.
